One year, 400 posts later.

We have been blogging for one whole year. I can't believe how time flys! So much has happened, yet it only seems like we did our first post yesterday. I thought it might be nice to share our first ever post with you again (see below). Here's to another wonderful blog year.

A beard by any other name... would probably look just as awesome.

I have a thing for beards, and when I say “thing” I mean overwhelming animal magnetism that makes me go weak in the knees when one of these slightly geeky yet extremely confident unicorns pass my way. I’m in my Rex Harrison circa The Ghost and Mrs Muir phase. Point me in the direction of a person who doesn’t rate him as a dead sea captain and I’ll gladly give them what for.
There’s been a huge surge in bearded boys in recent times, and I’ve made it my mission to help others appreciate them as much as I do. In my studies I have found there is a “type” that will grow a beard: the arty-indie-ridiculously goodlooking-surfie-skater guy. I’m pretty sure most of them read Monster Children and really enjoy street art. I think I’ll need to investigate this further.
One local bearded unicorn is designer Sam Elsom. Not only are his clothes ethically sound, he looks extremely sexy whilst creating the perfect pair of jeans.

To the brink of insanity.

We live a couple of streets away from our local swimming pool. Usually it's not a problem, but it seems 'school swimming carnival' season is upon us. I can handle the kid's muffled yelling and the whistle blowing, but if I hear '12 year old girls 50m free style, FINAL CALL, all 12 year old girls for the 50m free style...', or 'If you are 8,9 or 10 and wish to go to the canteen please form a line in front of Mrs Harris, I repeat...', I think it may just push me over the edge. This has been going on since last week! I hated my own school swimming carnivals, so to relive them everyday is torture! 'Attention boys and girls....' Ahhhhh.

A new month.

Holidays are over and this month brings with it change and new challenges. After having almost a year of maternity leave, I start back at work this week. Now admittedly, not full time, but I'm really not good with change. I feel like a little kid starting back at school. A little excited. A lot anxious. Here's hoping the transition goes smoothly.
