Type love.

As you know, I'm a type lover. I get excited when I spot a nice type specimen, especially if it's of the vintage persuasion. I love that examples of beautiful type pop up everywhere, sometimes in the most unexpected places.

Truth and Simon Walker.

Firstly, I love Simon Walker's typography. It is simply wonderful. Secondly, I love this quote. It is so true. I think we all need to remember it.

Better Half.

I love this packaging designed by VSA Partners. I'm not crazy about a pony being cut in half – but I am crazy about the design.

It's a sign.

Santa let me buy this wonderful, spectacular 'Pharmacy' sign for Christmas (from the lovely Newspaper Taxi in Newtown). I feel like the luckiest girl alive. The letters are cut from ply wood and my Dad says it was probably made sometime around the 1950s. Every time I look at it I get a warm fuzzy feeling – what a glorious piece of typography. My only dilemma is where to hang it.
