Sweets from my sweets.

Last month Anooke and Be went on a little trip to Melbourne. They had a lovely time eating, shopping and buying gifts. I was lucky enough to receive two gorgeous cook books when they returned, Frankie Magazine's Sweet Treats and Macaron by Alison Thompson. So far Anooke and I have attempted the Fruity Jelly Chews from Sweet Treats and a basic Macaron from Macaron. I have to say our Macarons weren't great but maybe with a bit of practice we might get a better result.

A sweet interlude.

We were lucky enough to spend the long weekend at Dickebusch, a sweet little cottage in the beach side village of Patonga. We cooked, played Scrabble, laughed, ate, listened to holiday music and walked along the beach. It was a near perfect weekend that I wish had lasted longer. I hope your weekend was as lovely.

Summer. Hurry back to me.
