We went to Bendigo on the weekend to celebrate our Grandfather's 80th birthday. We set off early on Thursday with a car packed full of goodies for the trip. It took us 12 hours to get there – a long trip – but we enjoyed the adventure.
Bendigo is a lovely country town with plenty of history and beautiful architecture. I loved the grand buildings and monuments. It has funky little lane ways filled with great shops and places to eat. The sun shone, we saw a crochet covered bike, ate mexican food and I even found a shop that sold awesome clothes for boys, Milt & Joe.
Apart from the family get-together, the highlight was going to the Grace Kelly exhibition at the Bendigo Art Gallery. It was amazing to see the collection of Grace's clothes and accessories. What a beautiful woman.
What a wonderful weekend.
